These are the terms of service for infratales.com, operated by Rahul Ladumor (sole proprietor, India). Plain language, in the order you actually need to know things.
Using the site
Reading and using the site means you accept these terms. If you disagree with any part, do not use the site. Members can stop being members at any time.
Content licensing
- Free articles: licensed under Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 4.0. You can quote, translate, and adapt for non-commercial use with attribution and the same license. Commercial reuse requires permission — email and ask, the answer is usually yes.
- Paid articles, paid Appendix sections, premium-only repos: all rights reserved. For your own learning and your own internal team only. Do not republish or post in private member areas of other paid platforms.
- Code in linked GitHub repos: carries its own license inside each repo (usually MIT). The repo license governs the code, not these terms.
Premium tier
Premium membership is $5/month or $50/year (USD), processed by Stripe.
- Auto-renews at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
- Cancel any time in your account portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal — you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Refunds: full refund on first payment of any new subscription if you ask within 7 days. After 7 days, refunds are case-by-case (we err generous, but it is not automatic).
- What you get: full Appendix sections on premium articles, members-only repos, members-only Discord (when launched), 20% off any consulting engagement booked through /consulting/.
What this site is not
- Not legal, financial, fiduciary, or investment advice.
- Not architecture or engineering consultation. Articles describe production systems Rahul has worked on or studied; they are educational, not advisory.
- Not a substitute for proper testing on your own infrastructure. Code samples are sanitized and may not fit your environment without adjustment.
If you need actual advisory work, see /consulting/ — that is a separate paid relationship under a separate engagement letter, not these terms.
Warranty disclaimer
The site, content, code samples, and any linked repository are provided as is. No warranty of fitness for any particular purpose. We do our best to be accurate; we do not promise to be infallible.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, InfraTales is not liable for indirect or consequential damages from your use of the site or content. Direct liability, if any, is capped at the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months — i.e., at most $60.
Governing law
Indian law. Disputes that cannot be resolved by good-faith email go to courts in Surat, Gujarat.
Changes
We can update these terms. Material changes (refunds, cancellation, licensing) get a one-time email to active members. The date at the top of this page is authoritative.
